ROADS TO REVELRY…

"Roads to Revelry" is an outdoor Medieval themed gathering, in Greenfield, MA aiming to help revitalize the community behind the Mutton and Mead Medieval Festival and reconnect with the communities we have served. The Festival has not been held since 2019. Prior to 2019 the event was contending with some weather, logistical and financial issues, but the pandemic compounded these issues and presented new problems. Roads To Revelry was born out of our efforts to explore different venues and event formats that do not present the same risks and logistical hurdles as a complex single-weekend festival at the MFRG. We have a fondness for the MFRG site, and have long considered it home, despite the challenges it presents for larger events. We do have hopes we can return in the near future in a sustainable way.

As you might guess, “Roads to Revelry,” has multiple meanings. It describes how we are hosting this event at a new location and encouraging people to join us there for all the revelry and fun. It describes how people will explore and experience the event. But it also describes how we are broadening the approach and scope of what we do. This event is the first of what we hope will be several projects, each building on one another and laying the “Road” for the a sustainable future.
